Sheaman of Kleary Field
Sheaman, our oldest colt, turned 3 on March 30, 2006. He is confident and balanced. Standing 16.1 hands now, he might make a little more. Sheaman was started under saddle in Fall 2005. On his sixth ride, we took him to the beach. He was really great--trotted nicely on the wet sand. Sheaman also had a trail ride at Point Reyes and cantered nicely with his mare friend. |

In February 2006, Sheaman went to boarding school with a local Hunter/Jumper trainer. He spent about 30 days there before coming home to enjoy a summer of trail riding, etc.
He was inspected by the Irish Draught Horse Society of North America (IDHS(NA)). They noted Sheaman had "an independent air to him." and thought he would develop into a good hunter/eventer type.

Sheaman's mare, Welcome, is a registered Oldenberg by Wendepunkt out of a French TB mare, Iron Leg. Welcome evented in Colorado and California up to training level. She is a handful to ride but quite talented. Sheaman is way easier! |

We think Sheaman is a pretty handsome horse.
He has a good mind, responds well to humans and is pretty curious about all the activities on the farm. He is a bundle of energy.
